Care Alliance Health Center today announced the appointment of Ken Griffin as its new Chief Executive Officer effective December 2, 2024.
Griffin brings a wealth of experience in healthcare and social services to the role specializing in executive leadership and management.
“I am deeply honored to join Care Alliance as its new President and CEO,” stated Griffin. “Care Alliance’s mission of providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare and support to the most vulnerable members of our community resonates deeply with me. I am excited to lead this incredible organization into its next chapter, strengthening our services, expanding our impact, and fostering partnerships that advance health equity. Together, we will build on Care Alliance’s legacy to create a healthier, more inclusive future for all.”

Prior to joining Care Alliance Health Center, Griffin held leadership positions at several prominent organizations including Centene (Meridian), an FQHC in Chicago, the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, and most recently, Connections for the Homeless. His leadership was especially vital during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he was instrumental in leading mass testing and vaccination initiatives in Chicago, expanding healthcare access to those in need. Griffin’s hands-on approach and compassionate leadership earned him recognition including the prestigious Crain’s Chicago Business 2021 Notable Executive award.
Griffin holds a bachelor’s degree in human services from Columbia College and a master’s in management and leadership from Webster University. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in healthcare administration with an expected graduation in May 2025. He co-authored “All Hands on Deck: Local Public Health Agencies Leveraging the Incident Command System During Crises,” which was published in the National Library of Medicine and has been featured in STLMAG for his leadership at the St. Louis Department of Health.
“We are very excited to bring Ken to Cleveland and Care Alliance Health Center in particular,” said Renee Richard. “His experience, enthusiasm and energy for the mission will serve our community well and provide transparent, dignified leadership for our employees and those in the community in the greatest need for healthcare.”
